Mia's Table Cypress officially opened its doors on July 5, 2021, right in the middle of the COVID pandemic. Like many others during that time, we started cautiously—only opening for dinner service. But by June 2022, we expanded to full hours, ready to serve our growing community with the Southern hospitality and comfort food that Mia's is known for.

I'm Jorge Plata, the Managing Partner of Mia's Table Cypress, and I've been proud to call Mia's home for seven years. Before joining Mia's, I spent 20 years as a Kitchen Manager at Carrabba's Italian Grill, where I built my foundation in the restaurant industry. In September 2021, I had the honor of becoming a partner at this Cypress location, and it's been one of the most rewarding chapters of my career.

What makes Mia's Table special to me is the unwavering commitment to our principles and fundamentals. The standards set by Johnny Carrabba and carried forward by Drew and Monica have created a culture where we're more than just coworkers—we're family. Here at Mia's, we support one another, we grow together, and we all have the opportunity to succeed. That sense of belonging is something I carry with pride every day, and I love knowing that Mia's Table is a favorite dining destination for so many.

Cypress itself is special. We're located in a vibrant, developing area filled with new families relocating from across the country. For many of them, Mia's Table becomes their introduction to Southern comfort food—and quickly, they become regulars. With kid-friendly menu options (and of course, complimentary ice cream!), we've proudly become a family favorite in the neighborhood.

But beyond the food, it's our friendly Southern hospitality and impeccably clean restaurant that keep guests coming back. As the Cypress community continues to grow, we're honored to grow right alongside it—becoming not just a place to dine, but a staple in the community. Whether it's for dining in, catering special events, or supporting local schools and charity fundraisers, we strive to be the go-to spot for families, teams, and organizations in Cypress.
