Mia's Upper Kirby, the Original Mia's Table, has been serving up Southern comfort and hospitality since Memorial Day 2012, right next door to the original Carrabba's on Kirby. From the moment we opened our doors, we knew we had something special—not just great food and service, but strong fundamentals that would carry us through the years.

One of my favorite parts of Mia's Upper Kirby is our beautiful wrap-around patio—a perfect place to sit back, unwind, and enjoy a meal in the heart of the city. Whether you're here for a quick bite or a leisurely afternoon, there's no better spot to soak in the atmosphere.
I joined Mia's just three months after we opened and have been here ever since. I started out as the "shake guy," whipping up shakes behind the counter. A few years—and plenty of shakes—later, Johnny Carrabba offered me the opportunity to become his partner here at the Original Mia's. I'll admit, I was hesitant. I had never run a restaurant before. But Johnny promised to teach me everything he knew, and the rest is history.
What I love most about Mia's Table is the dedication—not just to quality food and heartfelt hospitality, but to the amazing people who work here. Our team is the heartbeat of this restaurant, and without them, we wouldn't be where we are today. That's what makes the Original Mia's truly special.
